Showreel Production

A showreel is quite simply the most important marketing tool a TV Presenters can have. A good reel will get you seen again and again and once uploaded to the web it can be instantly accessible to directors and producers worldwide.

However, a sub standard reel will do more harm than good, you won't get seen and your reputation as a professional will be damaged. So it's worth spending a little extra time to ensure quality.

Your reel should be 3 to 4 minutes long, show a variety of different clips and most importantly show your personality. You should also think about the type of presenting you want to do and target your reel to that.

Before we shoot your reel you need to prepare your PTC's (pieces to camera). Decide on the type of presenting you want to do, don't worry you can choose a couple of different types and target your reel to that. Watch examples on Television and base your scripts on them or you can write your own scripts if you feel confident.

You should have at least 5 PTC's varying in lengths between 15 and 45 seconds, again don't worry this is not a hard and fast rule just a rough guide.

Once you have your scripts we would ask you to send us copies so we can help with any wording and ensure they are suitable.
